51cm W x 61cm L [20in W x 24in L] When we lived in the Northern Territory we often travelled over the Barkly Tablelands, a vast treeless expanse in the Australian outback. As I researched the origin of Australian ribbonstone I discovered it was found on these very same Tablelands. I have quilted in bird tracks, as a common sight on the Tablelands was the plain turkey or Bustard, a large native ground dwelling bird. Commercial cottons, angelina fibres, oil sticks. Machine applique & machine quilted. $AUD400 plus postage & handling |
